SOLE REASON
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
The Topeka Reser’s Cares team continued
its long-standing partnership with Sole
Reason, a Topeka-based nonprofit
dedicated to providing new shoes to
local children in need. In 2024, the team
sponsored Sole Reason’s signature
fundraising event, the Sneakers and
Smiles Golf Classic. In addition, the
committee organized a used shoe drive,
collecting 120 pairs. These gently used
shoes are refurbished and sold by the
nonprofit, with proceeds used to purchase
brand-new footwear for local kids.
As part of our ongoing commitment
to supporting our employees and the
communities we serve, Reser’s awarded
twelve $5,000 scholarships in 2024 to
family members of our dedicated team
members. These scholarships reflect
our belief in the power of education to
create lasting opportunity and growth.
By investing in the academic futures of
our employees’ families, we’re fostering
a culture of growth, opportunity, and
prosperity within our Reser's family and
the communities we serve.
FAMILY BUILDING BLOCKS
In 2024, the Don Pancho West Reser’s Cares
team continued to support Family Building
Blocks, which is a social service agency in
the Marion and Polk County communities
committed to “Keeping Children Safe and
Families Together” by providing highquality, critical, and voluntary services at
no cost. For the past three years, the Don
Pancho West Reser’s Cares committee
has supported the nonprofit’s Winter
Family Night, which provides free food,
family-friendly activities, and communityengagement opportunities to over 400
children and parents.
