Employee
Engagement
& Retention
Recognition is also a core part of our culture. From local
celebrations to company-wide honors like Employee of the
Year and Plant of the Year, we make sure great work gets the
spotlight it deserves. And the results speak for themselves:
48% of exempt-level roles are filled through internal
promotions, and 70% of our workforce has been with Reser’s
for more than five years. We’re not just offering jobs—we’re
building careers.
Our employees don’t just work here—they are the heart of
who we are. That’s why we’ve built a thoughtful, people-first
approach to engagement, development, and retention.
While U.S. workers average
four years with an employer,
over 70% of our employees
have been with us for more
than five!
In our plants, new team members are welcomed by dedicated
Training Specialists who provide hands-on orientation and
safety training on day one. Beyond job duties, we help
employees understand how their role supports our broader
mission and why food and workplace safety are essential.
Training is ongoing, with regular check-ins and one-on-one
conversations to ensure every employee feels supported and
heard.
For our corporate teams, the Quarterly Onboarding Series
introduced in 2024 turns orientation into a year-long journey.
Each quarter, leaders from across the company share how their
departments contribute to our success. New hires finish the
program with a deeper understanding of our business and a
strong internal network.
In 2023, we introduced Gallup engagement surveys to better
understand employee sentiment and identify opportunities
for improvement. Combined with exit interviews and new hire
surveys, these tools help strengthen the employee experience.
