Audits
With more than 4,300 team members working in our production
facilities, taking care of our team is one of our highest priorities.
To help ensure safe and inclusive working conditions, we conduct
regular internal safety reviews and invite independent third-party
auditors to assess our facilities. These outside audits help keep us
accountable and give our customers confidence that the people
who make our foods are treated well.
We use several social audit frameworks. Our primary standard is the
Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), a widely recognized
and trusted approach used by many leading brands. The SMETA
standard encompasses key areas such as labor practices, health and
safety, environmental impact, and business ethics. SMETA audits
provide additional insights into what we’re doing well and highlight
opportunities to improve, so we can continue building a workplace
our employees are proud to be part of.
We are committed to learning from these audits and continuously
strengthening our practices. By doing so, we aim to provide a safe,
ethical, and supportive work environment for everyone on the
Reser’s team.
